Full description
South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.
The visible earthworks do not correspond with any pit depicted on the Tithe map for Combeinteignhead.

Oval pits circa 18 by 13m and 12m by 10m in size are visible as earthworks on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any pits depicted 19th century maps available to the survey, which might support the interpretation they had passed out of use by the early-19th century.
