Parallel linear earthwork banks, approximately 3.5 metres in width, and some trees, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1949. They are aligned cross-contour and in a plot depicted with orchard trees on the late-19th century OS maps and named Barewell Orchard on the tithe maps. They are interpreted as post-medieval or 19th century banks for fruit tree cultivation, which went out of use in the second half of the 20th century. The area has since been developed.
