A curvilinear bank is visible on aerial photographs of 1950 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017 as an earthwork up to circa 10m wide and 255m long, closely following the contours of north-west facing slopes overlooking the River Lemon, Newton Abbot.
The visible earthworks do not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the Tithe map for Wolborough but might be evidence of plough spread boundaries of medieval origin that were cleared as part of post-medieval reorganisation of the field pattern in this area.
