A small space in front of the poor house is still called the market. Vis=17/9/1953 (os). The old building originally the poor house now used as a primary school bears no precise dateable feature but an inventory exists for it dated pre 1800. No market now exists in combe martin.

Site of 13th century market. Visited in circa 1821. The market was granted about the year 1264 but has been discontinued within living memory. A small space in front of the poor house is still called the market.

The old building originally the poor house now used as a primary school bears no precise dateable feature but an inventory exists for it dated pre 1800. No market now exists in Combe Martin.
