Summary

A curvilinear earthwork bank, circa 3 metres wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. Its western end appears to terminate at the corner of an adjacent field depicted in the tithe map, and its curvilinear shape indicates a likely medieval origin. It is interpreted as the remains of a field boundary which, as it is not depicted on the tithe map, is likely to have fallen out of use by the mid-19th century.
