'The Tithe Barn' or 'The Manor Barn'. A stone building with a fine round headed arch doorway and window.

Used for garaging cars, in poor repair. A 16th century stone building.

2m by 1m test pit placed across arched entrance to the barn revealed flooring comprising large stones set on edge into pea gravel. The outside entrace is metalled with mine waste over the remains of cobbles. All the finds above the floor and metalling are19th century but medieval coarse ware has found beneath the metalling Other details: Photos.
