Full description
Child, P., 1995, Old Frogmire, Sandford (Un-published). SDV354724.
The building is superficially Victorian, but contains a probable late medieval core. Stripping out the interior has revealed the original hall which has a substantial fireplace and a good stud and panel screen. The beams on the lower side of the hall probably probably mark the position of the original cross-passage. Another chamfered beam stands over another screen, now plastered over, in the room beyond. Two truncated jointed cruck trusses survive in the roof.
Ordnance Survey, 2019, MasterMap 2019 (Cartographic). SDV362729.
Old Frogmire marked.
