Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Cropmarks which have formed over two linear and parallel ditches, spaced between 2-3m apart and each circa 1m wide, are visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2018. The east to west aligned ditches do not correspond with any linear features shown on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on later available historic maps, nor are they in keeping with the historic field patterns shown in this location characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields. The cropmarks are in proximity to several prehistoric or Romano-British enclosures recorded to the east and west and may therefore form part of an associated feature, such as a possible trackway. A number of linear geological cropmarks on the same alignment as these cropmarks are, however, visible in 2018 within the adjacent land parcel to the west which may, however, discount this interpretation.
