Cropmarks which have formed over linear and curvilinear ditches are visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken during the dry summer of 2018. The cropmarks form a largely complete double-ditched sub-circular enclosure which measures circa 60m long by 55m wide and is situated on gentle southeast facing slope. The two circuits are spaced circa 5m apart, with a possible double entrance visible to the east. The enclosure is bisected by an extant field boundary, with cropmarks within the western land parcel only barely perceptible. Other visible cropmarks include an l-shaped ditch, circa 16m long by 10m wide, located within the inner circuit and a sub-oval enclosure, circa 10m long by 9m wide, which is attached to the eastern edge of the outer circuit. The function of these two features is largely unclear, although both likely represent associated features to the main enclosure. A third visible feature includes a segment of ditch which is attached to the inner circuit and possibly defines the southern edge of a smaller oval enclosure. This supports the interpretation that at least two phases in the construction of the enclosure is visible. The enclosure is characteristic of other enclosures of prehistoric or Romano-British date.
