Linear cropmarks which have possibly formed over levelled ditches, circa 2.5m wide, are visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken during the summer of 2018. The cropmarks define an l-shaped ditch with angular corner to the southwest with Moor Road to the north. The cropmarks do not correspond with any linear features shown in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, although are broadly in keeping with the surrounding historic field pattern shown on this map. The cropmark ditches intersect with a linear earthwork bank visible on lidar imagery and interpreted as a possible relict medieval field boundary (MDV122731). It is uncertain how, or if, these two features may be associated, although given that the cropmark ditch is not obscured by the earthwork bank, it seems reasonable to argue that the ditch cuts into and so post-dates this medieval earthwork. It is therefore interpreted as a possible post-medieval or early 19th century field boundary which had passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
