Full description
Dean, R., 2015, An Archaeological Gradiometer Survey: Land to the Northwest of Forches Cross, Newton Abbot, Devon (Report - Geophysical Survey). SDV358153.
Geophysical survey undertaken as part of a forthcoming planning application. Sixty-seven magnetic anomaly groups were identified as relating to possible archaeological deposits or features. The majority are most likely to relate to more than one phase of former field boundaries and other enclosures.
Group 42 is most likely to represent a relatively recent service ditch although it does run parallel with group 48 and so an archaeological origin cannot be rejected without further archaeological investigation.
