The earthworks do not correspond with any pit features in this location.

Two adjacent oval pits, circa 15m and 24m long, are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The earthworks do not correspond with any pit features shown on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on later available historic maps. They are interpreted as post-medieval or early 19th century extractive pits which had likely passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
