A circular structure, circa 5 metres in diameter and within a rectilinear banked or fenced enclosure is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. An associated trackway and a narrow earthwork ditch appear to link it to an external rectilinear structure. It is marked on a Second World War Air Ministry plan as a VHF DF homing site (a direction finding station to assist lost aircraft in planning their position) consisting of a tower with rest hut and battery charging room. The complex is not visible on aerial photographs taken from 1964 onwards and it seems unlikely that any remains survive.
