Three parallel curvilinear earthwork ditches, less than a metre wide, are visible on south-facing slopes south of Lower Hellington Farm on aerial photographs taken from 1946 and on visualisations of lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. They drop less than 5 metres over a visible length of 130 metres, and are interpreted as post-medieval or 19th century gutters of a catchmeadow. The water source is not clear from the available mapping, but it is likely to have been fed by a natural channel running along the valley.
