Two kidney-shaped areas of bare earth, or slight earthwork ditches, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. One is slightly larger than the other at 10 by 20 metres, and they are sited alongside or next to a path on north-facing slopes south of Harrowbeer airfield. They may be the infilled remains of Second World War dugouts, potentially for defence of the airfield.
