Two parallel curvilinear earthwork ditches, less than a metre wide, are visible on south-west facing slopes north-west of Axtown, on aerial photographs taken in 2007 and on visualisations of lidar data captured in 2013. They drop less than 5 metres over a visible length of 75 metres, and are interpreted as post-medieval or 19th century gutters of a catchmeadow. The water source is not clear from the available mapping, but it is likely to have been fed by a natural channel running along the valley.
