A circular pit, circa 12m diameter, with outer, irregularly shaped banks, circa 2m wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. The well-defined nature of the pit and the morphology of the outer banks supports the interpretation that the earthworks represent a Second World War bomb crater. The banks have likely been levelled and the pit partly infilled by 1965, although a slight oval depression of the crater remains visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. A second possible bomb crater (MDV126055) was recorded in proximity to the southeast.
