Curvilinear and linear ditches, less than 2m wide, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2015. The earthworks closely follow the contours of the southeast facing slope. They are interpreted as 19th century water channels, possibly part of a catch meadow irrigation system associated with Hollocombe Farm. A catch meadow is also recorded to the north at Whipple’s Cross (MDV126092) and they may form part of the same system.
