Linear and curvilinear banks and ditches, between 3m and 7m wide and mostly northeast to southwest and northwest to southeast aligned, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The earthworks are in keeping with the surrounding historic field pattern which is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields. Earthworks to the east at circa SX61285375 correspond with both field boundaries and plot boundaries associated with Ley Cottages (MDV74593) shown on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map. The remaining earthworks, however, do not correspond with any such boundaries on this map, or on later available historic maps and had evidently passed out of use by this time. The earthworks are therefore interpreted as relict field and plot boundaries of medieval, or post-medieval date which had almost completely passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
