The earthworks do not correspond with any pit features in this location.

Sub-oval and sub-circular pits, circa 32m long and 26m long, respectively, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the available 19th century mapping. They are interpreted as post-medieval or early 19th century extractive pits which had likely passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
