Linear and curvilinear hollows are visible as earthworks.

Ditches or hollows up to circa 12m wide are visible as subtle earthworks crossing the slopes of a west-facing combe on aerial photographs of 1955 and visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017.
The visible earthworks do not correspond with any field boundaries depicted on the 19th and early 20th century maps available to the survey but do appear to be continuations of curvilinear boundaries probably of medieval origin, depicted on the Tithe Map for Plympton St Mary.
The earthworks are interpreted as evidence of former field boundaries, probably of medieval date, that were removed prior to circa 1840.
The earthworks are identifiable on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, cut by the narrower ditches of catch meadow gutters.
