A cropmark of a levelled ditch-flanked bank circa 4 to 6m wide and 150 long is visible on aerial photographs of 1969 on the south-east facing slope north of New Park Road, Sparkwell.
The visible cropmarks do not correspond with any boundary depicted on the 19th or early 20th century maps available to the survey, but they are in keeping with the character of the probably post-medieval surrounding field pattern.
The cropmarks are interpreted as evidence of a field boundary of probably post-medieval to 19th century date that was removed prior to the mid-19th century.
