A roughly circular mound approximately 15m in diameter is identifiable as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017.
The date and function of the mound are unknown.
It is possible the mound is the remains of a barrow of Bronze Age date, or remains of earthworks associated with 18th to 19th century mining activity.
No evidence of the mound was recorded by a previous geophysical survey or trench evaluation (see Event EDV8089 and Source SDV360929), and it must be considered possible that the mound is of natural origin.
