Name:Disturbed hut circle in Slade Newtake

Summary

A disturbed hut circle lies just within the boundary wall of Slade Newtake some 500 metres west of Saddle Bridge. It consists of a sloping platform with a crude circle of stones giving an approximate interior diameter of 3.7 metres. There is no obvious entrance though an upright block on the east side may represent one of the former jambs.

(10/01/1996) SX 65949 71800. A disturbed hut circle lies just within the boundary wall of Slade Newtake some 500 metres west of Saddle Bridge. It consists of a sloping platform with a crude circle of stones giving an approximate interior diameter of 3.7 metres. There is no obvious entrance though an upright block on the east side may represent one of the former jambs.
