A sub-oval pit, circa 25m long by 17m wide, is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The visible earthwork corresponds with a copse depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map. The earthwork is interpreted as a post-medieval or early 19th century extractive pit which had likely passed out of use by the mid-19th century when the disused pit had been given over to woodland. The earthwork is not visible on other available aerial imagery owing to tree cover.
