Two narrow curvilinear ditches, less than 2m wide and parallel to the contours of the northeast facing combe slope, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 and visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. They are interpreted as 19th century water channels, possibly part of a catch meadow irrigation system which was associated with Crebar Farmhouse and which tapped a spring-fed stream to the south.
