The earthworks do not correspond with any linear features in this location.

Two short linear and parallel earthwork banks, circa 28m long by 6m wide and north to south aligned, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1955. The earthworks do not correspond with any linear features shown on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on later available historic maps, but are in keeping with the historic field pattern depicted in this location, which is characterised as medieval enclosures. The earthworks are therefore interpreted as remnants of possible relict medieval field boundaries which had passed out of use by the mid-19th century. Some caution should, however, be exercised and it is also possible the earthworks, which are located parallel to steep west facing slope, are of natural origin and derived from slumping. The earthworks are not clearly visible on later available aerial imagery and their survival is unknown.
