A curvilinear earthwork ditch, up to 3 metres wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken from the 1940s onwards, and on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. It appears to be a trackway, and runs between Brownhill Battery and the road to the north-east. However the trackway appears to terminate at a dog-leg in the field boundary depicted on the Tithe Map at circa SX4960551265 indicating that the trackway could have been an earlier, perhaps medieval, feature.
