A bank less than 3m wide and circa 50m long is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946.
The visible earthwork does not correspond with any feature depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but does divide into two a plot depicted on the Tithe Map for Plympton St Mary (Plot 92, Bakers Garden), that was probably enclosed in the 19th century.
It is possible that the bank predates the enclosure of this plot and that portion that fell outside it was levelled prior to the 1940s. However, it is more likely that the bank was made to sub-divide this plot and is therefore of early 19th-century date.
