Summary

A Second World War Bomb Crater is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of the 1940s and 1950s on the north-west facing slopes south of Boringdon Park Wood. The crater had probably been levelled by the late-1950s.

A circular pit circa 8m in diameter is visible as an earthwork on the north-west facing slopes south of Boringdon Park Wood, on aerial photographs of 1946 and 1951.
The pit is interpreted as a Second World War Bomb Crater.
The pit is not identifiable as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1959 and had probably been levelled by this date.
