A D-shaped bank defined enclosure is visible as an incomplete earthwork on aerial photographs of 1955 and visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, under the tree cover of Towers Wood, Sparkwell.
The bank is circa 4m wide and defines an enclosed area circa 23m wide and at least 34m long. The enclosure was probably truncated on the northern edge by the line of the Lee Moor Tramway but cannot be identified as an earthwork to the north of the tramway.
The date of the enclosure is unknown, but it is possibly of Iron Age to Roman date.
