Full description

Probert, S. A. J. + Fletcher, M. J., 2002, Plym Valley survey (Report - Survey). SDV350782.

(16/01/2002) Centred SX 59276654. A number of circular and crescentic earthworks on either side of Shavercombe Brook near its confluence with the River Plym. All appear to be of relatively recent military activity.
A number of similar pits containing military debris are cut into several archaeological features on the slopes north of Shavercombe Tor while a cluster of similar though larger features lie to the west of the Tor. Many of the latter have been interpreted as hut circles. (see SX 56 NE 97).
