Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2019-2020, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 2, Avon Valley to Plymouth (AI&M, formerly NMP) (Interpretation). SDV362982.

Earthworks of shallow hollows and slight mounds which occupy an area of circa 4 hectares, within a single land parcel bound by a watercourse to the west and road to the east, are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. With exception of several linear, northwest to southeast aligned banks which are possibly visible, the form and morphology of the earthworks is largely unclear. Given their subtle nature, it has therefore not been possible to transcribe individual elements of these earthworks and so an extent of area polygon has been used to define their approximate limit. The origin of the earthworks is largely unclear, although do show some similarity with medieval and post-medieval tin workings which have been recorded in dense concentrations across this area. A natural origin is, however, also strongly possible. A site inspection may help to ascertain more confidently the origin of these earthworks. The earthworks are not visible on other available aerial imagery.
