Summary
A catch meadow of probable 19th to early 20th century date is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as narrow curvilinear earthwork ditches on the south-east facing slopes, south-east of Wotter Farm. The earthworks remain identifiable on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013 but have probably been damaged.

Three curvilinear ditches are visible as earthworks circa 1m to 3m wide and up to circa 120m long on aerial photographs of 1946, closely following the contours of the south-east facing slopes south-east of Wotter Farm.
The channels are probably the gutters of a catch meadow of probably 19th to early 20th century date.
Such systems used springs or streams to irrigate combe slopes rather than the valley floor. Originating in the medieval period they were in widespread use in Devon in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The ditches remain identifiable on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013 and are visible as earthworks on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2016.
