Parallel linear earthwork banks, up to 3 metres wide, are visible on east-facing slopes east of Taylor’s Farm on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on visualisations of lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. They coincide with land parcels 353 and 345 depicted on the Tithe map both of which have an ‘orchard’ element to their name, and the earthworks are interpreted as post-medieval or 19th century planting ridges for orchard trees.
