Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1977, SX56NE71 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV151920.

(21/06/1977) SX 5783 6578 A small cone shaped, pile of stones, diameter 4.5 metres, height 1.3 metres, situated on a false crest, overlooking the River Plym, at 290 metres OD. It overlies an enclosure wall (SX 56 NE 71 (b)) and a hut circle within that enclosure and there is little doubt it is modern. Deleted from MSD.

(07/05/1976) Cairn, high for diameter; beside enclosed hut circles group and may not be sepulchral. Diameter 4.5 metres, height 1.0 metres.

Two clearance cairns associated with the two hut circles within Enclosure 'E' at 'Willings Walls Warren'. One cairn is between the western hut and the enclosure wall and the other is opposite the southern hut circle and just outside the boundary wall.

(04/04/2002) This is one of two such cairns, the other at SX 5783 6581, that probably relate to the medieval or later reuse of the large prehistoric settlement immediately to the south. The surface stone within the early enclosures was removed in this later period and the hut circles and boundary banks used as repositories for the clearance debris.
