Hut Circle '1' of 6.0 metres diameter is the western of two hut circles within the enclosure at 'Penn Beacon South'. It is free-standing near the centre of the enclosure with a probable entrance to the south where there is a small gap in the wall. An arc of walling lies to the east towards the second hut.

A vegetation covered bank circa 1.2 to 1.7m wide is visible on aerial photographs of 1946, enclosing a circular area circa 6m in diameter, within a larger D-shaped enclosure on the higher south facing slopes of Penn Moor, approximately 100m south of Penn Beacon.
The circular feature is interpreted as a hut circle of probable Bronze Age date. It is one of two possible hut circle sites visible within the surrounding oval enclosure (MDV2403).
It is not possible to identify an entrance to the hut circle from the sources available to the survey.
