Earthworks of banks, ditches and a hollow are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The earthworks comprise two curvilinear banks, circa 7m wide, which form a sub-oval enclosure, circa 50m long by 47m wide, with internal hollow, circa 33m long by 30m wide. An east to west aligned earthwork linear ditch of a possible relict medieval or post-medieval field boundary or modern drainage ditch, circa 6m wide, cuts across the enclosure. The enclosure and field boundary or drainage ditch do not correspond with any features depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on later available historic maps. The form of the enclosure supports the interpretation that it is of potential late prehistoric or Roman date, although a medieval or post-medieval origin is also possible. A site inspection is recommended to help clarify this.
