An oblong mound approximately 17.5m long and 6.5m wide is visible as a curvilinear earthwork bank on aerial photographs of 1946 and visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017 on south-east facing slopes overlooking the River Plym.
The mound is probably the remains of a near levelled rabbit bury or pillow mound of medieval to post-medieval date, part of Trowlesworthy Warren (MDV14148).
The bank was probably surrounded by a shallow ditch, identifiable as a subtle earthwork up to circa 3m wide enclosing the north-west end of the mound.
