NERC, 2013, LiDAR DTM data (1m resolution) Tellus: South Devon to Dartmoor, LIDAR SX5064 Tellus DTM 01-JUL-2013 to 31-AUG-2013 (Cartographic). SDV361514.

An earthwork pit is visible as an earthwork.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2019-2020, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 2, Avon Valley to Plymouth (AI&M, formerly NMP) (Interpretation). SDV362982.

Earthworks of an oval pit, circa 8m long by 4m wide, with an outer curvilinear bank, circa 3m wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or later available historic mapping. The earthworks are interpreted as a possible post-medieval or early 19th century extractive pit which had likely passed out of use by the mid-19th century, or else a Second World War bomb crater, both of which have been recorded in this area. The pit possibly corresponds with an earthwork visible in this area on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013.
