Summary

Small, oval hut in enclosure, near the south-east corner of boundary wall. Poorly built, this hut measures 2.9 metres in diameter with a level interior enclosed by boulders placed in a rough circle. Full description

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 130857 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

(22/02/1993) One of six stone hut circles and a small D-shaped structure forming part of an extensive settlement (associated with a group of three prehistoric enclosures).
Six stone hut circles composed of circular banks of stone and earth surrounding an internal area survive either within the enclosures or are attached to the walls.
Hut F is of the simple plan and rubble bank walling type. Interior is oval, measures 3m long by 2.3m wide and is surrounded by a 1m wide and 0.35m high wall. This building is attached to the inner face of the south enclosure.

(07/02/2005) Hut within enclosure at the foot of the south flank of Legis Tor on the right bank of the River Plym. The lower, southern, part of the eastern enclosure possesses a single hut:
SX 5732 6525. A poorly built feature 2.9m in diameter with a level interior enclosed by boulders placed in a rough circle. A gap in the east side may indicate the site of a former entrance.
This site possesses several features that would appear to be of later origin to the main enclosures and hut circles. These include the low banks that subdivide the western enclosure and several shorter banks and a small pound within the northern half of the eastern enclosure. It is also possible that the hut at SX 5732 6525 falls into this category. The presence of stone clearance debris in several of the huts points towards later (probably post-Medieval) activity on this site.
