Full description

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 130857 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

(22/02/1993) A small D-shaped structure forming part of an extensive settlement (associated with a group of three prehistoric enclosures).
Structure G survives as a semi-circular area measuring 10m by 7m defined by a curving 1.3m wide and 0.4m high rubble wall on the south, east and west. The northern edge is formed by a length of the northern enclosure boundary. The date and function of this structure is unclear, although because it is attached to the boundary wall it must be more recent than the northern enclosure. The two large enclosures were re-used as a rabbit breeding area during the Medieval and or post-Medieval period, when a pillow mound and vermin trap were constructed (SX56NE-239).
