Northern of two hut circles with a short length of contemporary walling at the foot of a clitter slope above the right bank of Spanish Lake of 3.5m north-south by 3.0 metres with walls 1.1 metres wide and 0.5 metres high with an entrance in the west side.

Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX56SE7 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV138919.

(01/06/1950) Two hut circles on moorland. Walls consist of small stones covered with turf. Hut A diameter 4.5m has an entrance to the south-west. Hut B diameter 5.0m has no obvious entrance.

(24/08/1977) SX 58636434: Two hut circles lie on a gentle, well drained, west facing slope at 355m. above OD. Their average internal diameter is 3.8m; one is terraced and has type 2, orthostatic walling, 0.7m wide, in very poor condition; the other is not terraced and has fragmentary walling about 0.8m wide. There is a short, arc of walling, 1.0m wide leading from one of the hut circles, possibly the remains of an enclosure wall. (Type 2 huts: SX 56 NE 19).

(23/04/2002) Centred SX 5863 6435. Two hut circles and a short length of contemporary walling lie at the foot of a clitter slope above the right bank of Spanish Lake.
SX 5862 6435. Measuring 3.5m north-south by 3.0m this hut has walls 1.1m wide and 0.5m high with an entrance in the west side.
Both huts are terraced into the gently sloping hillside to provide level interiors.

These two hut circles lie on a west-facing slope at the western end of Lee Moor, north of Spanish Lake. They are built of earth and stone and are 5 metres and 4.5 metres in diameter with walls 1 metre in thickness and 0.5 metres in height and entrances in the west and north-west respectively.
