Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2019-2020, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 2, Avon Valley to Plymouth (AI&M, formerly NMP) (Interpretation). SDV362982.

A U-shaped earthwork bank, circa 2m wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. It is unclear whether the earthwork is associated with a field boundary of a small land parcel shown in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map. The origin of the earthwork is therefore largely uncertain. It possibly forms the northeast half of a small post-medieval or early 19th century land parcel which had passed out of use by the mid-19th century, or else may represent a mid-19th century ephemeral feature of agricultural origin.
