linear banks or lynchets are identifiable as earthworks.

North- east to south-west aligned banks or lynchets up to circa 8m wide and 140m long are identifiable as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013, following the contours of the south-east facing slopes north-west of Ashford.
The northwesternmost earthwork corresponds a field boundary depicted on the Tithe Map for Aveton Gifford and it is probable the earthworks are the remains of a field system or lynchets of medieval to post-medieval date.
