A possible bomb crater of Second World War date is visible on aerial photographs of 1945 as an earthwork pit on the north-west facing slopes to the west of Tapfield Cross. The pit has probably been levelled.

A pit is visible as an earthwork.

The pit might be the remains of a bomb crater of Second World War date.
The earthwork is not visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2002 and has probably been levelled.
