Hood, A., 2010, Later Iron Age and Early Roman Settlement at Willand Road, Cullompton, 70, 73 (Article in Serial). SDV363624.
A programme of archaeological works on the site of a new medical centre revealed a number of features. A cluster of ten pits and possible postholes was recorded in Area 1, at the northern limit of the excavation. Figure 2 shows them to be in an around penannular gullies 1013/1015, 1011 and 1027. Pottery sherds recovered from the features were mostly datable to the later Iron Age and Roman periods, and included a sherd shaped into a counter.
