Summary

Three pale oval cropmarks, each approximately 14 by 19 metres, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2007 on a plateau of higher land between South Down Farm and Furzedown Farm. Their location is consistent with an interpretation as prehistoric barrows, though there is no evidence of these on other available aerial imagery and it is possible that the cropmarks had been caused by agricultural activity, or formed over geological features.
