A number of curvilinear earthwork ditches, approximately one metre wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s. They broadly follow the contour along the south-facing side of a valley and are interpreted as the gutters of a post-medieval or 19th century catchmeadow. It is possible that it is associated with the catchmeadow at West Batson Hall (MDV128153). No features are depicted in this exact location on the available historic maps and any catchmeadow here presumably fell out of use by the late-19th century.
