Earthworks of an oval mound, circa 30m long by 20m wide, and adjacent elongated pit, circa 23m long by 8m wide, are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2015. The earthworks correspond with a circular feature shown on the late 19th century First Edition Ordnance Survey map. They are interpreted as 19th century workings probably associated with Bulkamore Iron Mine (MDV7942) located circa 30m to the southwest. The workings had likely passed out of use by the late 19th century.
